Gloria Orenstein

I am Prof. Emerita in Comparative Literature and Gender Studies from the Univ. of S. California.  I specialized in Surrealism in the arts, and was the first to present the Women Artists of Surrealism to the art communities in the US.  (early seventies).  I taught pioneering courses on Ecofeminism  at USC and lectured widely  on Ecofeminism at conferences, both national and international.  I co-created an early conference on Ecofeminism at USC from which was published the book ;REWEAVING THE WORLD : THE EMERGENCE OF ECOFEMINISM..  My previous writings in Theatre, Feminism, Literature, Shamanism and Art all include Ecofeminist perspectives in most of my analyses.   I continue to pursue these quests in my writings and public talks today.
